Miami Winter Music Conference 2010 is just around the corner and it’s looking to be bigger and better than ever. Jam-packed with high quality Trance & Progressive club nights and a massive line-up for Ultra Music Festival firmly establishes WMC as North America’s most important Electronic Dance Music event.
But what if you’re not going? That is of course utterly misfortunate, as you will be missing out on all the good weather, wild pool parties, ground shaking club nights and beautiful scenery of Miami.
Musically seen there is a great opportunity for damage control though: Menno de Jong will be doing a series of 3 special podcasts during the week of the Winter Music Conference to bring you up to date about the biggest tracks, the hottest events and the who’s who of the DJ scene.
Special big league guests such as Carl Cox, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Sied van Riel, Jerome Isma-Ae and many more will announce and play their top tune for Miami as well as bring you up to date about their whereabouts, activities and WMC gossip.
With Menno’s selection of brand new Miami essentials playing in the background as well as live-recorded sets from his gigs you might just still get your WMC fix. Subscribe to Menno de Jong’s free Intuition Podcast on iTunes to make sure you get the episodes in real time, or keep an eye on mennodejong.com to download them as soon as they become available.

Not once, but twice will I be hitting the North American continent before the summer festival season begins! The first trip starts in one of my favorite worldwide destinations: Canada. I’ll be playing at Contact events in Vancouver and Toronto alongside names such as Gareth Emery, Blake Jarrell, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Jerome Isma-Ae and many others. The next leg of that journey lands in Miami, where I will be playing the Tranceaddict night at Park West Nightclub on Thursday the 26th of March.
UPDATE: The lucky winner (by random integer in Excel) is Ulrich Capaul, congratulations!
For those in the US that will not be able to make it to Miami this year, good news, I might be heading to a city even closer to you in May! Starting the 9th of May 2009 I will be embarking on a 10 day, 5 gig tour of the USA and Canada, starting in my home away from home Los Angeles.
For those of you that have got to get the max dose of trance & progressive I’ve decided to start a competition:
